Ce film dresse un état des lieux de l’Etat d’Israël.
Il s’attache plus particulièrement aux questions restées à ce jour sans réponses.
Dans son ambition de construire un « homme nouveau », qui rompt avec la figure du Juif exilique, humilié et discriminé, qui n’a fait que subir une Histoire qui lui fut fatale, l’establishment israélien a répondu en adoptant une attitude caractérisée par la « négation de l’exil ». Le film montre le rôle central de cette occultation dans les insuffisances qui persistent encore aujourd’hui.
« Kapparot – Expiations », conçu avec son autonomie propre, constitue avec le film « Tikkoun – la Réparation » la deuxième partie du diptyque.

This film takes stock of the state of Israel.
It focuses more particularly on questions that have remained unanswered to date.
In its ambition to build a « new man », who breaks with the figure of the exilic Jew, humiliated and discriminated against, who has only suffered a History that was fatal to him, the Israeli establishment responded by adopting an attitude characterized by the « negation of exile ». The film shows the central role of this concealment in the shortcomings that still persist today.
“Kapparot – Expiations”, conceived with its own autonomy, constitutes with the film “Tikkoun – Reparation” the second part of the diptych.
